A low-density, non-chromate (chromate-free), corrosion-inhibitive sealant formulated as a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured, Permapol P-5 modified polysulfide compound. Coming as a low-sag, thixotropic paste, it offers up to 40% weight savings compared to traditional standard-density aerospace sealants (specific gravity ~1.14). Provides a 2-hour application life at room temperature, curing into a durable barrier with high resistance to jet fuel, aviation gas, petroleum oils, and intermittent contact with phosphate ester hydraulic fluids across a temperature range of -54°C (-65°F) to 121°C (250°F) with short excursions up to 135°C (275°F).

Applications

Exterior aircraft fuselage applications, exterior butt joints, aerodynamic smoothing, and surface irregularity filling on fuselage structures.
