PPG SEALANT PE 1422 A-2

A two-part, dichromate-cured polysulfide liquid compound designed for precision brush application on aircraft structures. Mixing a black base with a light brown catalyst into a brown uncured paste, it provides a specified 2-hour application/tooling life at room temperature before curing into a flexible rubber seal. Operates reliably from -65°F to 250°F (-54°C to 121°C) with short excursions up to 275°F (135°C), maintaining high bond strength after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas.

Applications

Brush coatings (up to 25 mils thick) for aircraft integral fuel tanks, rivets, access panels, and fuselage structures.
