Ardrox 1218

An inhibited, phosphoric acid-based liquid compound designed to remove rust, heat-treatment scale, and welding scale from ferrous metals while protecting base metal integrity. Formulated with specialized corrosion inhibitors, it effectively cleans oxides and scale from high-tolerance parts, chromium-plated ferrous surfaces, and minor corrosion products from aluminum, copper, and zinc alloys (density ~1.26 g/ml at 20°C). Applied via immersion, brushing, or spraying, typically diluted with water between 10% and 50% v/v at operating temperatures from ambient up to 60°C.

Applications

Precision rust removal, heat-treat/weld scale stripping, and oxide cleaning on ferrous metals, high-tolerance parts, and non-ferrous alloys.
