ARDROX 185L

A concentrated, highly alkaline liquid chemical formulated to remove rust, scale, carbon, and grease from metallic components without causing hydrogen embrittlement in high-strength steel. Appearing as a colorless to light yellow liquid (density ~1.43 g/ml at 20°C, pH 13–14 at working concentration), it replaces harsh acid pickling while dissolving heavy corrosion and heat scale. Applied via immersion tanks at 30% to 50% v/v in water and heated between 82°C and 93°C (180°F to 200°F). Safe for ferrous metals, titanium, and select nickel alloys; damages aluminum, zinc, tin, lead, and magnesium.

Applications

Immersion tank removal of rust, heat-treatment scale, carbon, and grease from steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloy components.
